Patient News Publishing and its staff are proud to support many charities at the regional, national, and international levels.
Communication
Communication with our staff is one of the keystones of our corporate culture and we offer a variety of our own internal newsletters to keep everyone informed in a fun and interesting way.
- SPIN Newsletter updates our team on the latest news around the office
- Communiqué departmental newsletters are produced each week by the department managers to every employee
- The Poop Scoop is a newsletter devoted to our family pets and is an extension of our Dogs At Work Group (DAWG)
Family
We offer a subsidized after-school care program for our employees'
children. This is located within our headquarters and includes bus
drop-off from school, creating a safe environment that keeps kids and parents happy!
Fun
Living and working in the beautiful surroundings of the Haliburton Highlands is an opportunity we like to make
the most of in every season. We celebrate summer with bi-weekly barbecues and and annual party and winter fun
involves an annual ski/snowboard day featuring the highly anticipated hot potato event! Our annual Christmas
dinner and dance is held at a local resort and includes complimentary overnight accommodation for all employees
and their guests.
Health & Wellness
In addition to an on-site fitness facility, we provide a free whole fruit program and employees use our three kitchens
to enjoy free condiments and beverages including the same bottled water
that Oprah drinks. Staff can use the boardwalk to walk or cycle
into the village and they create partnerships for walking,
jogging, cycling or kayaking fitness and participate on Patient News Publishing recreational sports teams.
